WELCOME

Welcome to Guisborough U3A. We are a self-help, self-managed lifelong learning cooperative for older people no longer in full-time work. We are affiliated to The Third Age Trust, and a registered charity (No.1125829).

We provide opportunities for our fast-growing membership to meet like-minded people, and to get involved in a wide range of interest groups. We get together to meet new people, try new activities and to have fun in learning.

The pages on our website will tell you all you need to know about us but above all we look forward to you joining us at our monthly get-together at Guisborough Methodist Church Hall on the afternoon of the first Wednesday of each month. You may in addition find some of your questions answered on the FAQs document below.

What's new

With the ever-present snow and ice may I ask you both to let Coordinators know if you're not able to get to planned sessions and as importantly to ensure that you check before leaving home whether sessions are taking place so that you are not making unnecessary and difficult journeys.

Our next regular monthly get-together is on Wednesday,3rd March 2010 at 2pm in Guisborough Methodist Church. This will be our last meeting at Guisborough Methodist Church before we move to the Parish Hall on Bow Street in April.

We shall begin enrolment at our March meeting for our third year (2010/11). Our annual subscription, set at our 2009 AGM, remains at £10. Those who are wishing to join GU3A for the first time in March 2010 can join for £10 which also covers you for 2010/11, i.e. 13 months. For further information about us and how we operate, please click here, and for information on how to join or on how to register for Gift Aid, please go to the Join page on our website.
