WELCOME

Welcome to Guisborough U3A. We are a self-help, self-managed lifelong learning cooperative for older people no longer in full-time work. We are affiliated to The Third Age Trust, and a registered charity (No.1125829).

We provide opportunities for our fast-growing membership to meet like-minded people, and to get involved in a wide range of interest groups. We get together to meet new people, try new activities and to have fun in learning.

The pages on our website will tell you all you need to know about us but above all we look forward to you joining us at our monthly get-together at Guisborough Methodist Church Hall on the afternoon of the first Wednesday of each month. You may in addition find some of your questions answered on the FAQs document below.

What's new

May I ask you both to let Coordinators know if you're not able to attend planned sessions and as importantly to ensure that you check before leaving home in poor weather whether sessions are taking place so that you are not making unnecessary and difficult journeys.

Guisborough Parish Hall, Bow Street Our next regular monthly get-together is on Wednesday, 7th April 2010 at 2pm in the Parish Hall on Bow Street. Please let your friends know of the change of venue if they weren't at March's meeting.

Enrolment for our third year (2010/11) will continue at our April meeting. Our annual subscription, set at our 2009 AGM, remains at £10. For further information about us and how we operate, please click here. For information on how to join, how to register for Gift Aid and to download an Application Form, please go to the Join page on our website.

A reminder that our AGM is on 5th May and there are likely to be at least two vacancies on the Committee. We are looking for volunteers to join us. If you are thinking about this, please don't hesitate to contact one of the Committee who'll be pleased to answer any questions you may have.
