WELCOME
Welcome to Guisborough U3A. We are a self-help, self-managed lifelong learning cooperative for older people no longer in full-time work. We are affiliated to The Third Age Trust, and a registered charity (No.1125829).
We provide opportunities for our fast-growing membership to meet like-minded people, and to get involved in a wide range of interest groups. We get together to meet new people, try new activities and to have fun in learning.
The pages on our website will tell you all you need to know about us but above all we look forward to you joining us at our monthly get-together at Guisborough Methodist Church Hall on the afternoon of the first Wednesday of each month.
What's new
Our next regular monthly get-together is on Wednesday 1st July 2009 at 2pm in Guisborough Methodist Church. We shall be holding the meeting for the first time in the church proper on the 1st floor; meeters and greeters will be on hand to direct you. After the usual announcements, refreshments will be served downstairs in the Hall and you can as always register for Interest Groups and visits and also join or renew your membership for 2009/10. The fee remains at £10. If you want further information on how to join or on how to register for Gift Aid, please go to the Join page.
At May's monthly meeting we held our AGM at which we set the subscription for 2009/10 as £10, and for 2010/11 also at £10. A new Committee was elected and details of posts and post holders are on the Committee page and will also be published in the June Newsletter.
